The 1957 Chevrolet Corvette Fuel Injected Roadster marked a breakthrough in American performance engineering, introducing mechanical fuel injection as a cutting-edge alternative to carburetion. This 1957 Fuelie Corvette was owned by Mr. Pillsbury, a renowned Corvette collector from California, from the mid-1960s through the mid-1990s. Under his ownership, the car underwent a comprehensive body-off restoration, during which its fully matching-numbers drivetrain was verified, including its rare late-'57 series four-speed manual transmission.

Following a brief change of ownership, the car was acquired at the 1997 Greenwich Concours d’Elegance Auction by a London-based collector, who kept it at his Florida residence. Over the final years of his ownership, he commissioned further meticulous restoration work, elevating the car to near-flawless condition.
